Includes appendices, bibliographic note, and index. This is number 6 in the M.I.T. Monographs in Economics series. "The years between 1940 and 1960 in Chile were marked by economic stagnation. Urban migration, reflecting this economic decay, as well as demographic conditions, are the subject of this study. The work attempts to coordinate the record of Chile's economic development with an account of its concomitant internal migration" [from the dust jacket]. Small scrape of pp. 84-85, slightly affecting text; otherwise, the book is in Fine Condition. Dust jacket is in Good+ condition: price clipped, as noted; ends of spine are chipped, with small section lacking at head of spine; back section slightly soiled.
