Geoffrey Bles, London, 1954. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/Fair. Illustrator: Author. Introduction by Derek Hudson. The text is illustrated with black-and-white drawings by the author. Cream coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured embossed decoration to the front panel; with, green and red coloured titles edged with gilt to the front panel and green and red coloured titles to the back strip. Transparent dustwrapper, with the front fold over panel in paper, to describe the book's contents. Written and drawn by the author as a precocious 13-year-old, the title says it all. Rubbing of the book edges with sunning to the back strip edges. There is a discolouration of the top right hand corner of the front panel commensurate with loss of dustwrapper. Offset tanning and foxing of the end pages with very light age toning of the pages. Gift inscription to the top edge of the free front end page. The top right hand corner of the front dustwrapper panel is missing as is the lower corner of the same panel. There is a 1.75 "tear to the top left hand corner of the rear panel and a similar size tear to the lower left hand corner of the front panel. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [4], 5 - 45, [3] pages,.
