First published in 1516, "Utopia" by Saint Thomas More (1478-1535), ". . .is a social satire directed chiefly against the concentration of wealth in a few hands and its misuse" (per the jacket flap). Text rendered into English from More's Latin by Ralph Robinson in 1551. Also included in this volume is More's "A Dialogue of Comfort", written by More while in the Tower of London awaiting execution for opposing of Henry VIII. This revised edition offers modernized spelling, with glossary and with an introduction by John Warrington. Entry 461 in Everyman's Library Theology & Philosophy series. --- In Everyman's Library larger format binding style 4. Full rose cloth-covered boards with gilt-stamped spine titling and "EL" in script at tail of spine; orange topstain.
