A lovely copy of this historical study of the Crimean War, rebound by Maltby's in a handsome half calf binding. The first edition of this work rebound in a half calf binding, with the binder's stamp of Maltby's of Oxford to the front paste down. An illustrated historical study of the Crimean War by Lieutenant Colonel Arthur James Barker (1918-1981). This work analyses the major battles, and includes appendices and source notes to the rear. Illustrated with black and white plates. The Crimean War was fought from October 1853 to February 1856 between the Russian Empire and an alliance between the Ottoman Empire, France, the United Kingdom, and Sardinia-Piedmont. Rebound in a half calf binding by Maltby's. Externally, in excellent condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Fine
