Profusely illustrated with 426 illustrations, including 133 beautiful color reproductions of paintings, b/w drawings and designs for stage performances. With an introduction by Dmitry Sarabyanov. Serov, a pupil of Ilya Repin, was one of the premier portrait artists of his time and his best works are considered to belong among Russia's great realistic art. Includes biographical outline with b/w family photographs and and extensive catalog with b/w reproductions of Serov's work.
Light sunning to extremities of slipcase, light bumping to bottom left of slipcase opening. Slipcase in very good+, dust jacket, binding and interior in very good+ to near fine condition overall.
