Ipswich: Printed and sold by E. Shalders, 1827. Hardcover. Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. First edition, 8vo, pp. xv, [i], 262 pp; lithograph frontis and 101 lithograph plates drawn and engraved by Cobbold, plus 2 copper-engraved portraits. Armorial bookplate of Lord Gwydyr to front paste down, later ownership signature to front inner blank. Some occasional foxing to the contents, the contents tight. Bound in a near contemporary 1/2 tan blind stamped calf. The binding tight with no splits some rubbing to board edges. Illustrated with unusual lithographs after pen-and-ink sketches by Cobbold. The contents are dominated by rural pieces, including several on hunting, but with occasional verses on contemporary political and military issues
