Hardcover with dustjacket, first printing as stated on copyright page, "A Marine's own story of Parris Island and Guadalcanal, the book has a tiny edge-tear at bottom of spine, there are a few ownership stamps on the first blank end-paper and the title page, the cloth binding is clean and tight and the contents are fine, the white jacket has very mild tanning on the spine and two short edge-tears, the jacket is clean, the original price (4.95) is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included .
