Book is in Good condition, with light soiling to cover, some bumping to corners, spine slightly darkened. Stamps in front and rear pastedowns, seems like something was adhered at some point and then removed from the rear pastedown.

There is foxing around the block of the book, on the early and last pages, very little within the body of the book. There is a long tear along the spine of the book. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with bumping to the corners and spine tips, the cloth a little dusty and darkened to the spine. The contents, with a previous owner's name to the front pastedown and some toning to the text block edge, are otherwise clean throughout. Uncommon in the first edition. A lost race novel. A nearly fine copy in a very good or somewhat better price clipped dust jacket with light shelf wear to spine ends with some tiny chips and creases, light shelf wear along top edge with a closed tear (12 mm) and crease, and two small closed tears to lower front panel (10 mm & 20 mm).
