About This Item
(Johannesburg: Voortrekkerpers, 1971). 8vo; original pictorial boards; pictorial dustwrapper; pp. (xii) + 470; illustrated with numerous maps, photographs, tables. Dustwrapper partially sunned, a little rubbed, and edgeworn, with some archival tape repairs to reverse of edges; edges a trifle browned; occasional fox spot. Good to very good condition. Afrikaans text. One of the few one-man general histories of South Africa, in the tradition of S. F. N. Gie, E. A. Walker, and C. W. de Kiewiet.
