Hint of sunning to very edges of pages. Dustjacket condition: Very good, with very light shelfwear. 236pp. Several colour and many b/w illustrations. After the very severe flooding of Venice in November 1966, a group of private bodies responded to the plea made by Unesco to gather funds and arrange to restore the most important monuments there. The campaign included cutting edge restoration technology in various fields such as marble and stone corrosion. This book details much of the restoration and the methods employed. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
