La peinture de vue du dix-huitieme siecle a Venise est apparue avec Luca Carlevarijs et s'est eteinte a la mort de Francesco Guardi en 1793, suivi par l'invasion de Napoleon et la chute de la Republique de Venise en 1797. Entre deux, une constellation de peintres remarquables s'est distinguee dans l'illustration des vues les plus celebres comme des coins les plus recules de la ville dans d'eblouissantes images qui comptent parmi les plus grandes reussites artistiques du dix-huitieme siecle. Bien que Canaletto soit probablement l'artiste le plus directement associe a ces images, il comptait beaucoup de rivaux. Chaque artiste avait de la meme topographie sa propre vision unique et la representait de facon clairement distincte. Ce catalogue montre les differentes reponses a ce paysage urbain avec sa lumiere toujours changeante et ses personnages de theatre. Terms and conditions of sale. Books are offered if unsold. The order of incoming orders will be respected strictly. Orders can be placed via e-mail (info@erik-tonen-books.be), or in writing, preferably not by telephone. The books that are offered online are not available at our bookshop at 48 Kloosterstraat. You will receive an e-mail confirming the availability of the book(s) and providing details with regard to shipment costs (we use Belgian and Dutch postal companies for the most cost-effective shipments. The indicated shipment costs have been calculated according to the rates for shipments of up to 2 kilo. We will choose the most cost-effective shipment option, depending on the weight: either letter post or parcel post. Payment must be made before delivery; ordered books will be reserved during 12 days in expectation of payment or confirmation of shipment. Payment can be made by transferring money to our Belgian bank; banktransfer IBAN BE48 4098 5839 0127 and the BIC (Bank Identifier Code)(swift) / KREDBEBB , Payment via Paypal account erik.tonen@pandora.be is also possible. Prices are net prices and free of VAT (margin arrangement) and expressed in euros. Shipment and payments costs are charged to the customer. Each shipment contains a delivery slip. Ordered books will remain our property until payment has been received. Our books are shipped in decently packaged form; The state of the books is not specified if the works are in good condtion (smaller, minor defects such as an ex libris stamp, a name on the first page, minimal wear and tear etc. are not specified, unless specifically requested). If the ordered works do not match the specified description, they may be reshipped within seven days after receipt, after prior notice.
