Aberdeen: D.Wyllie & Son, 1903. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo, pp295 with the Ichthyological Portion Including the Fishes of the East Coast from Wick to Firth of Forth. complete with 8 b/w illustrations, 3 in the text and 5 full page with tissue guards all in very good condition. Hardcover no dust jacket. Original green buckram binding with gilt titles to spine in very good condition with a little shelf wear to top and tail of spine and small scratch and mark to front board. Inside all pages with top edge gilt in very good clean condition with a little foxing to front free end paper. Spine has been opened a little too vigorously to pp109 but binding holding as normal. For added interest the book plate of William Eagle Clarke, the noted ornithologist is on the front paste down. A very nice copy with an interesting provenance.
