This is a first edition, first printing, of Vets Might Fly, the fifth of eight books written by the Scottish veterinarian James Herriot (1916-1995). Herriot famously chronicled his life as a veterinary surgeon in the Yorkshire Dales and his books became the movie and two tv series All Creatures Great and Small.
This copy is in superb condition.
225 clean, creamy white pages.
Illustrated by 'Larry', the English cartoonist Terence Parkes (1927-2003).
It originally belonged to the prominent Canadian journalist Anne Kingston (1958-2020), who signed the front endpaper. But she signed it in pencil, so you can erase it if you like.
There is discoloration to the outside edges of the pages--not the pages themselves. It has one dogear, on page 225.
Other than that, it is perfect.
