First printing. 26 un-numbered pages, about 30 color illustrations by Faedrich, oversized format (about 27cm tall), in color pictorial papercovered boards with cloth binding, decorated endpapers. A very attractive copy with no real flaws to the printed contents. Boards are fresh and bright with some edge-wear but still Very Good+. Interesting inscription on the half-title page to a child who escaped captivity in Nazi Germany during 1942 with the inscriber. Laid in: A German child's Happy Easter card to the original owner. Also a typed poem on a postcard. And a 1941 Christmas Dinner menu.
