Binding is firm. Volume has marbled yellow and green endpapers. Previous owner's bookplate is affixed to front pastedown. Pages are clean and without markings. This work is profusely illustrated, offering textual illustrations and plates. 496 pages.
Henri d'Alméras (1861-1938) was a French historian andnovelist who authored a series of studies of the mores of Paris in various periods of history.
