About This Item

Philadelphia: Benj. Franklin Bache, 1797. Hardcover. First Edition, First Printing. 5.5 x 8.5in. lxvi. 407pp. Bound in recent archival boards. GOOD. An ex-institutional library copy, but minimally so with a bookplate at the front paste-down and a number and blind-stamp neatly on the second page. The first quarter of the text-block further shows some short closed tears in the margins, light damp-stain, light toning, light offset throughout, otherwise the binding is strong and tight, the text is unmarked, and the boards remain distinct. A complete and readable copy. As pictured.
