About This Item
1885. Original etching on thick laid paper. Circa 1885. Signed in the plate. Sold unframed. Nice deep impression. From Slocombe's Views on the Thames series. This is plate No. 3, a view from what is now known as Cliveden, near Taplow in Berkshire. His landscapes convey the characteristic serene atmosphere of the English countryside. Has two eye holes in the outer margin at the top - assume where once displayed in a book / file.
