Good condition; cover shows some staining and soiling, chipped upper outer corners of the cover, repaired edges of the spine; internally slight foxing on the illustration plates, pages show darkening the edges.

The book issued for the eighth All-Russian Congress of the Union of Art Workers (known under the abbreviation RABIS, from 1924 Vserabis) held from 5 to 8 January, 1932 in Moscow, contains a compilation of reports by the art and entertaiment organizations belonging to Leningrad branch of Vserabis on the activities held by them during previous year. In total 29 reports by theatre, music, cinema, visual arts organizations are included, text is supplemented with statistical data and numerous photographic images (including photomontage, reproductions of theatre posters).

RABIS (Union of Art Workers) was a professional creative union formed in 1919 in Moscow. It was a first official creative union of the country, which united many small existing art organizations like Actors' Union, Union of Theatre Workers, Musicians' Union, Sculptors' Union, Painters' Union, etc.
