John Murray, 1111. Hardcover. Good. No Edition Remarks. Fully bound in red leather. Title: Vintage Music Box Book - In Finden's Illustrations to Lord Byron - Plays 'O My Papa'. Ex-libris plate stuck to front pastedown, belonging to John James Purnell. Book includes title page and first few pages, the rest more recently made into a secret storage compartment with music box activated when book is opened. Functioning movement with key included. Pages remain bright and clear with minimal tanning and foxing. Thumb-marking present. Rear board is slightly coming loose from glued text lbock. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Light crushing to spine ends. Visible sunning to spine and edges. Noticeable peeling leather to spine and edges. Visible marks and scratches to boards.
