About This Item
Gilt stamped vellum backstrip over green paper-covered boards, octavo, pp. xi, 385. Tissue-guarded frontispiece by Cecil Hunt. This lonesome odd-volume is from a 20 volume set entitled The Widecombe Edition of Eden Phillpotts's Dartmoor Novels. Boards and vellum with some soiling accumulated over the decades. Scattered foxing, but never egregious. Pages deckled on fore- and bottom edges (i. e., not shaved down to a uniform length; a conscious design choice).
