Paris: Hachette, 1846. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. 8vo, 176 pp, in original brown cloth with gilt spine lettering. Bumping to edges of boards, lacks front free endpaper; binding sound and text clean. Inscribed "D. Carmichael par L. Quicherat" on half title page. D. Carmichael has also siged the book on a few other pages and drawn a small sketch at the lower margin of the first page of the preface. Ink ex-libris stamp on title page, library shelf number label on front pastedown. All text in French.
