Greenwich, CT & New York: Conde Nast Publications, Inc., Sept. 15, 1932. Folio. 96 pp. With 100’s of text illustrations, photo illustrations, mostly in black & white, some colour illustrations, photos & plates. Colour-illustrated softcovers, cover art by Benito (1891-1981) on metallic silver background, Art Deco lettering, design, Camel cigarette ad on back cover (chipping head & foot of spine, minor creasing, edgewear), still VG copy. First edition, thus, of this installment in the noted fashion magazine’s results of the Paris Autumn fashion lines, featuring designs by Schiaparelli, Patou, Lelong, Forstmann’s Elga, and others. Benito who was a native of Valladolid, Spain, later became one of the most iconic Art Deco artists of the Jazz Age, creating covers for Vogue and Vanity Fair, and heavily influenced by Picasso, Modigliani, and others.
