William Tufts Brigham (1841-1926) was c urator of the museum and wrote on all aspects of Hawaiian culture and natural history. This work is a history of the recorded erup tions of the volcanoes and is comprehensive in its coverage of so urces and past accounts of volcanic activity. Condition: ex-lib but in very good condition. Library acquisition number in black ink on lower spine and bottom of title page; prior owner’s sign ature and residue of pocket removal on front end paper; lower ¼ of rear paste-down torn away. Text block itself is clean, tight, and bright. .
