The map has had a short repair to a closed separation at one of the folds else is near fine. There is occasionally very light foxing and fingering else this is a near fine copy in a fine binding.
The author was the ship's surgeon. The plates include as subjects a Lewchew (Loochoo) Chief, and a Corean (Korean) chief, Fort Maxwell, a Temple Garden at Lewchow and Islanders from Sir James Hall's Group.
