Text in French. Library stamp on title page, no other stampings, published in 1870. A tight book, with some discoloration on last 8 pages. PO stamp inside front cover 3x4 inches in size. 512 pages with 117 engravings and 6 chromolithographs. Published a few years before winged flight began. Worn leather spine, decorated paper covered boards with decorated end papers. Cover also edge and corner worn. See photographs.
