Good- (front board detached. back hinge cracked, slight rattle, held tightly by binding cords. leather edge-worn, scuffed & scrached. corners rubbed to boards. dark tanning to pastedown & endpaper edges. ex-libris plates to cover pastedowns w/ descriptive bookseller label on back pastedown. intances of light & dark spotted foxing; opening pgs & map have more tanning, concentrated foxing.). leather boards w/ red leather & gilt spine title plate. viii, 296 pgs. frontispiece fold-out map. Stated 'First American Edition.' Map intact with 2inch tear to lower fold line and a ~1.5inch tear to side. Title page has section cut from upper edge. Text section of pages tanned with some ghosting, but remain dark and detailed. Stain at spine edge on upper textblock. Full title "...With a preliminary account of the rise, progress, and present state of the fur trade of that country.
