Signed and inscribed by Burroughs (August 1903) to Addie Johnson (nee Barrus) on front blank endpapge - Clara Barrus was a longtime lover of Burroughs and this is a family member, likely a sister. Green cloth cover intact with overall wear. Gilt text on the spine and a gilt stamped facsimile of the author's signature on the front cover. Sonme wear to spine ends and bumps to corners. Pages with some age toning and light edgewear. Binding intact with a slight lean. Tissue at frontis with torn corner. Otherwise clean and intact throughout. Please see images. 233 pages.
