This beautiful Limited Editions Club edition of a book which many have read and which assuredly none who did so have forgotten. A man privileged to write some words of prefatory comment on it might begin by saying that here is a novel which ought to be read, but there are better reasons than any sort of obligation. Those lines are paraphrased from the wonderful introduction by George N. Shuster. Book is as new, flawless and unread. The illustrations are pen and ink drawings and twelve original aquatints drawn on plates by William Sharp. This is copy 88 of 1500 signed by the illustrator.
