SIGNED COPY - Dedicated to the former owner with an inscription by the Author near the bottom of the Half Title of Volume One. 3 MINT volumes in glossy pictorial card covers. The 3 volumes are housed in a plain light maroon coloured paper-covered board SLIPCASE. The Slipcase is Near Fine - just a few light pressure indents from storage and a few very light smudges/scratches - Negligible overall. All 3 volumes are MINT and Unused, BUT Volume One has a single light crease line to the spine - probably due to being opened by the author to sign/dedicate it. An AS NEW Set. Black and White and Colour illustrations throughout. Volume I: Gothic and Renaissance Style, Carved Furniture, Lacquer Furniture, Barometers and Clocks. Volume II: Boulle Furniture, Veneered Furniture. Volume III: Gilt Bronze, Miscellaneous Pieces, Appendices, Index. "The Wallace Collection has the finest collection of eighteenth-century furniture outside France. Numbering over five hundred pieces, it includes furniture by the greatest Parisian cabinet makers, beginning with Andre-Charles Boulle and continuing through the major craftsmen of the reigns of Louis XV and Louis XVI." .
