This is a very good copy of the legendary Forman Brown's extremely rare SIGNED book of poems. Incribed "For Carrie and Mac A Merry Christmas", it is signed on the numbered copy front end paper, and is listed #22 (of only 50 created).
Forman Brown wrote what is considered the first gay novel with a happy ending - entitled Better Angel (1933) - which was republished in paperback in 1951 as Torment. Both books are exceedingly rare.
Brown was one of the world's leaders in puppet theatre in his day, opening the Turnabout Theatre in LA in 1941. He was a member of the Yale Puppeteers and the driving force behind Turnabout Theatre.
