Good Reading Copy, with so significant reading wear, cracked front hinge, in maroon cloth boards displaying moderate surface/edge wear, with some soiling.
Set in Jericho, Kansas, in the late 19th century, a struggle for power between two men involve the entire town. Lawyer Dave Connors is married to Belle, the town lush. Connor's best friend's 'wife makes a pass at him --- a pass that he immediately rejects. She retaliates by printing vile lies about Connor in the town paper.
