1944. Hardcover. Fair Condition/No Dust Jacket. Fifth Printing. 128 pages. No apparent marking in text. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Some age-toning and dusting to page edges. "The stories in this book have been adapted by H. Marion Palmer from Originals by Hans Christian Andersen, Lewis Carroll, Kenneth Grahame, James Barrie, Joel Chandler Harris (Brer Rabbit and His Satchel uv Gold), and others." From the library of cartoonist Dan Danglo (carrying his ink stamp on the copyright page). Danglo was a Brooklyn-born cartoonist who did work during WWII for the 4th Air Force HQ newspaper; gag cartoons for various publications; and was an animator / storyboard artist for Felix the Cat and Terrytoons. Spine has material loss at ends and is held together by a vintage tape repair. Binding still solid. Pages toned but supple. Foxing to outer pages. Bumping and exposed board material at corners.
