Hardcover, red cloth boards show toning and spotting and spine is lightened with three vertical marks near the center. External edges and corners also show some bumping. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues. This is an old ex-library copy from a religious establishment. The front pastedown contains a label stating it was from St. Francis Xavier Library of Gettysburg PA. The title page also contains a circular embossed seal which says, in part, that it came from the St. Francis Xavier School. There is also a name written on the label on the frontispiece as well as the title page, presumably this is the teacher who use the book in the classroom. The rear of the book has a small simple piece of paper tipped in that says "Must be returned". No other markings are found in the book. The 2nd front end page has what appears to be an old…

Closed tear on one leaf. Ten illustrated plates (portraits, family homes, etc). Includes name index for the surname Walworth. vi, 196 pages. Genealogy and family history of the American branch of the Walworth family, recording six generations of the descendants of William Walworth, who emigrated from England to America in about the year 1689. Traced through the three main branches from William's sons: William (b. 1694), John (1696) and Thomas (b. 1701). The family originally settled on Fishers Island (NY), but soon removed to Groton, Connecticut; Thomas' family also settled at Lebanon, Connecticut.
