Reviews
On Jan 13 2015, a reader said:
One of only a few books on the WW2 campaign in East Africa, this is one in a series of books focusing on South African military history. The author was an infantryman in the campaign and later wrote two of the official histories of South Africa in the war and knows his subject. The book not only covers the battles in the 1940-41 campaign, but the history of Ethiopia and three national leaders (Benito Mussolini, Haile Selassie and Jan Christian Smuts) who influenced events before and during the campaign. A good read on a seldom covered subject.
