A.C. McClurg, Chicago, 1911. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Fair Condition/No Dust Jacket. 416 pages., note. Black and white photographic portrait frontispiece. Purple coloured boards with orange stamped illustration on front panel and orange titles to the backstrip. The book is in ordinary condition. The corners of the book are bumped and rubbed and cloth is frayed. There has been water damage to the front edge of the book causing the cloth to be bleached, and paper edges to be brown. The head and the heel of the spine are bumped and soft. Heavy dust marks to the top paper edge. Sun fading to the spine. Previous owners name to the ffep. The front-end has small puncture marks and the internal pages are slightly brown. A fictional history of a true soldier of fortune during the latter half of the 19th-century and the early part of the 20th century. This is the First USA Edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
