He was a novelist, short story writer and poet who was wounded twice in France, the second occasion leading to his death from machine gun fire on 9 April, 1917 at Havrincourt. The head and tail of the spine bumped with some light loss. Two or three board corners a little bumped. Some normal age toning to the pages and the upper corner of the rear endpaper has been turned. A very good or very good minus copy of this fairly rare publication.
