New York: Studio Publications, 1958. First edition. Hardcover. Fine/near fine. First edition. Hardcover in white cloth lettered in gilt. Signed by Kingman in Chinese and English and dated '58 on the half title page. 136 pp. Illustrated throughout with color and black and white reproductions of Kingman's watercolors. Introduction by William Saroyan. The first book devoted exclusively to Kingman's work. In it are ll his most famous paintings up to that time as well as an appreciation of the artist's work by Saroyan and an account of Kingman's life by Alan D. Gruskin. Laid in is a folding pamphlet from a 1963 exhibition of Kingman's work at New York City's Wildenstein Gallery. Fine in near fine dust jacket. Very scarce signed.
