London: Charles Gilpin, 5 Bishopsgate Street Without, 1843 Book. Fair. Hardcover. vii, [i], 234 pages. In worn half leather binding for the Glasgow Hydropathic Society - spine torn, leather on corners also torn. Rather dusty and very soiled. Library book label to the front pastedown and the Society's ink stamp to pages throughout, including the title page. Ink owner's name - WB Hunter April 1893 to the front pastedown and what are presumably his pencil notes throughout and many underlinings. Pencil index to the rear end papers. Pages soiled and stained throughout, heavily in places. The illustrations mentioned in the title are text not pictorial. Apparently the translation of a work by Baron R. G. W. L. C. E. von Falkenstein..
