Miles at Fort Keogh, Montana territory in the late Eighteen Seventies and to his son Oliver, and his family ... all of whom I new Personally". -- Small manilla envelope pasted to the dedication page holds a photograph of the author and Oliver Risingsun. Envelope is labeled by the author in a shaky hand. -- Plastic covers over paper wraps chipped in places around the exterior. --. An accounting of the time Fairbairn spent as a teacher on five different Indian reservations with the Bureau of Indian Affairs under the U.S. Department of the Interior.
