(New York), 6 1/4 x 9 1/2 inches tall aqua faux leather hardcover, gilt lettering to spine, green stiff wraps bound in, copiously illustrated with photographs of philatelic rarities, 241 pp. Very slight soiling and rubbing to covers, with slight bumping to the lower tips. Inside, very slight staining to lower margin of front cover bound in. Otherwise, a very good to near fine copy - clean, bright and unmarked. Articles on Edward S. Knapp Collection also laid in. ~CC~ [2.5P] Edward Spring Knapp (1879-1940) was a noted collector of U.S. and Confederate postage stamps and an authority on postal history. His specialties were posted hotel covers and Confederate stamps. This work documents some of Knapp's collection offered for sale the year after his death.
