A facsimile copy of the first edition, with the copyright page statement: 'This is a copy of the First Edition of "WE".' Mr. Lindbergh's memoir, in which he provides extensive detail about his historic solo first flight across the Atlantic, begins with his childhood and includes much information about his post-flight reception by delirious crowds in both Europe and the U.S. Includes 48 black & white photos. --- In dark blue gilt-stamped cloth-covered boards. In blue jacket which is missing nearly half of upper front cover (including the part bearing the number N-X-211 from the right wing). Though 1927 date appears in this volume, it may have been published anywhere from 1927-1930 or possibly beyond. --- A clean, firm copy with all photos present. Interior lacks markings or inkings. An old soap advertising card was left in mid-book, resulting in minor acidic damage to two leaves. As mentioned, the very damaged jacket is missing nearly one half of its front cover; has numerous chips and tears; is in removable archival mylar protector and bears orig. $2.50 flap price. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 318 pages .
