New York: The Viking Press, 1933. Near Fine. New York: The Viking Press, 1933. Limited First Edition, signed by the author and numbered 137 of 250 copies on tipped-in limitation page at front. Octavo; viii, 264pp. Publisher's mustard cloth with brown and green rules and lettering, housed in brown paper-covered slipcase with "137" on spine panel. Top edge gilt. Boards are square and sharp, with spine cloth very slightly dulled. Binding is sound and pages unmarked. Slipcase is sturdy and solid with light shelfwear.

Caldwell's second collection of short stories, published a year after his novel Tobacco Road.
