About This Item

Sydney, Kensington: Times House, 1987. Reprint ed.. Hardback octavo, no jacket as issued, very good condition, red cloth cover (decorative gilt & black), gilt top edge, few black & white photos, string bookmark. 229 pp. Mrs Aeneas Gunn tells of her time spent at the remote Elsey cattle station, Northern Territory. "The Little Black Princess" was published in 1905 and "We of the Never-Never" in 1908. The latter book has been placed first in this combined volume (with the exception of the last chapter which is now the Afterword), because it tells of the Gunn's trek to Elsey Station and of the many incidents that occurred during that journey and during their stay at the station.
