I don't understand either of these other two reviews, but this book is my favorite book ever. LDR has such a clear, crisp way of writing and her stories from her years living in rural (VERY rural) Maine in the early 1900s are poignant, funny, and timeless. I picked this book up at a used bookstore not knowing anything about it and was pleasantly surprised to find a real gem.

This is a book of pirates. There is no caribbean cricket in here. Ignore the other review.
