Number written on rear free endpaper, else interior clean and unmarked; pages crisp. Dust jacket rubbed; very slight spoiling; closed tear to foot of rear panel; not price clipped ($2.50); in an archival mylar sleeve. xii, 338 pages. The author, David Lamson, was convicted in 1933 of murdering his wife at Stanford University. He and his wife, Allene, were both Stanford graduates and were a part of the literary set on campus. In this book, Lamson describes his experiences on San Quentin's death row and the other prisoners he encountered there.
