Philadelphia: The Pennsylvania Museum, 1927. First, Original edition. Hardcover. A nice, tight copy. Former owner, Irene Emery (textile curator) has written many notes in the margins. Her is written on the fep. Some age toning to pages; general shelf wear to covers. Textile museum ex-lib. with a few marks, including front cover sticker.. Black boards with cream paper title label. 64 pp. with 36 bw figures. An photocopy of the chart of textile classifications is housed in a front pocket. See note below. Classification of early hand-loom American fabrics, including cloth, twill, satin, velvet, and brocade. The chart of textile classifications is dated 1935 and possibly was intended to be included in a later, revised edition which never was carried out. The photocopy was made from the original chart which we we have in another copy of this same title.
