Wien: M. Engel & Söhne, 1898. An attractive volume of illustrated ladies in the Art Nouveau style. First Edition. Brown cloth with gilt detail, and a reproduction of the title page laid in gold to the front board. Binding has a little bumping to the head and tail of the spine but is otherwise sound. Title page and 50 illustrated leaves, with picture and text to the recto only. The pictures, which have a verse in German below each, each show a scantily clad woman in the Belle Epoque style. The flesh of each woman is colour in a soft pink. Pages are a little darkened, but overall in very nice condition, Small closed tear repaired to end paper.A few other tiny closed tears. 260 by 200mm (10¼ by 7¾ inches). . Un volume attrayant de dames illustrées dans le style Art nouveau. Première édition. Toile brune avec des détails dorés et une reproduction de la page de titre en or sur le panneau avant. La reliure présente quelques bosses à la tête et à la queue de la colonne vertébrale, mais est par ailleurs saine. Page de titre et 50 feuilles illustrées, avec image et texte au recto seulement. Les images, qui sont accompagnées d'un vers en allemand, montrent toutes une femme légèrement vêtue dans le style de la Belle Époque. La chair de chaque femme est colorée d'un rose tendre. Les pages sont un peu noircies, mais dans l'ensemble en très bon état, une petite déchirure fermée a été réparée sur le papier de fin. 260 x 200 mm
