Penguin orange cover paperback, No. 626, 1947, first edition thus (first published 1943), 253 pages.
Considerable foxing and marking with some creasing and wear to covers. A little creasing and some discolouration to spine, with some chipping and minor tearing. Wear to front hinge but holding. Browning, tanning, scuffing and a little marking to page edges. The odd dog-eared corner. Page surfaces reasonably clean, the odd mark and patch of foxing, more so on and towards endpapers but no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
