About This Item
New York: Farrar & Rinehart, 1933. First Edition, First Printing. Very good lightly used copy with a trace of darkening to the cloth at the top and bottom edges in a very good bright dust jacket with a bit of darkening to the spine, some shallow chips and small tears. The basis of the 1961 horror film The Curse of the Werewolf with a screenplay by Anthony Hinds, directed by Terence Fisher, starring Oliver Reed, Clifford Evans, and Yvonne Romain. The dust jacket is illustrated with a montage of scary images set in Paris. Curiously, The Curse of the Werewolf was the only werewolf film produced by Hammer films, best known for its many vampire and Frankenstein films.
