About This Item

New York: E. P. Dutton & Co., Inc., 1976. First edition. Hardcover. Evidently this copy had contact with some water at some point and there is cockling throughout at the lower corner; also there is some slight bleeding of (red) dye from cover to the inside of the dj. Else fine copy/very good. 8vo. Boards. Pp. 222, (ii). Warmly inscribed by the author, "Nicky", to a friend and dated during the year of publication A fine parody of Conan Doyle's style. The story brings in lots of famous people, for instance George Bernard Shaw who does not impress Watson.
